An annual event organized by AIESEC is the Youth to Business Forum, which works on bridging the gap between the students and fresh graduates and between the entrepreneurial world of multinationals and startups.

This year the event was held in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in the Great Hall with more than 400 attendees.

Seven speakers from different educational and professional backgrounds were invited to each influence the audience in a different way.

The event started by the speech of Eng. Omar Keshta the President of AIESEC Alexandria explaining the world problems and global threats facing the economy, environment and the human race in general. Upon these problems the future business trend will be built.

The event started by Ms. Nashwa, founder of U Lead organization. In her speech she drew the attention of the audience towards different meanings of leadership, and that one could be an employee who isn’t in a managing position yet an effective leader in the company. Ms. Nashwa shared with the audience 3 different researches experimenting the success of leaders. The most common factor was not education or money, it was the ability to be humane with others.

Mr. Mahmoud Mansi, introduced as an HR Professional and an Entrepreneur, was the second speaker. He mainly tackled different themes such as what to avoid writing in your CV, how to answer certain interview questions, and as a startup owner how to be creative and invent your own interview questions. He also stated that many students and employees face a problem that they doubt their careers or field of study, and he stated that this is very natural for a person to find himself/herself having many interests and talents because “we were not created to be defined by one job title”. Mr. Mahmoud ended his speech by stating that in order to become a Monopolist in the business world you should be a follower and a leader in several projects.

The third speech was led by two representatives on the HR recruitment team of ECCO company for outsourcing. The main speech was led by Mr. Ahmed Helmy who was guiding the audience towards avoiding mistakes that candidates seek daily in their interviews while applying for a job, and how to avoid cliché answers. Mr. Ahmed also gave tips for the audience on how to find a job which leads to a promising career and gave examples from his own personal life on how he ended up working in his field and position now.

After the third speech the break started. The audience was very energetic and there was a very strong engagement with each other and with the speakers. The audience was very enthusiastic and they handed their CVs to the partners and filled AIESEC internships applications.

After 30 minutes the forth speech started which was led by Ms. Tasnim from IGUOMI, who mainly spoke about the importance of having a website, and the success factors of a powerful website. As she explained the services her organization offers she revealed the importance of E-Marketing, SEO, and the importance of being recognized by search engines such as Google.

Mr. Mahmoud Kamal, the Founder of El Tawkeel online news platform explained in the fifth speech the importance of sharpening your talent besides paving your road towards education. He explained how his talent in writing and journalism made him a very successful person at the age of 17, and how this led him to start his own brilliant online newspaper that is focused on car news only. He also shared how important it is for the Founder to know how to do everything in his/her own business.

The sixth speaker Dr. Aly Fayed – co-founder of Nutellopia highlighted the power of volunteering, and he also highlighted the power of having your own project. He spoke about how the price of your name increases in the HR market when you have your own project, and how he was accepted in an interview with a reputable job title for this reason, yet he chose to invest all his time in his own company. He also spoke about education and though he graduated from Pharmacy but he didn’t choose the traditional career path. He ended his speech stating that one does not have to be an entrepreneur in order to be successful. He ends his speech by his amazing philosophy, “Not all entrepreneurs are happy but every happy person is an entrepreneur.”

The seventh and last speech was led by Mr. Mahmoud Nooman – Co Founder of Ma3mal co-working space. He started his speech by joking and blaming the previous speaker for saying everything he wanted to say. Therefore he didn’t use the presentation and slideshows he prepared. His talk strongly focused on analyzing the new “trend” of startups and entrepreneurship and how many people are following this trend without solid experience and providing a solid output to the society. He reinforces his words by stating that your goal should not become being an entrepreneur but the goal should be in your usefulness to the environment around you. Mr. Mahmoud also spoke about his new project, a mobile application called “Bobzem” which helps people exchange their business cards virtually.

In the end two representatives from AIESEC, Ibrahim Serag and Ahmed Shafick, presented the “Youth Speak” project (bit.ly/youthspeakinegypt). This is a global project organized by the UN in order to collect the voices of the youth worldwide and include their ideas in the global future plan.

Eng. Omar Keshta gave a final closing with a motivational speech and sharing the current plan of AIESEC Alexandria towards the society.
