The method of conducting a job analysis is what determines the destiny of the organization, from the fulfillment of its employees to the quality of the product to the desired behavior of the consumer, that’s what I thought when I attended the first 15 minutes of the Job Analysis training presented by HayGroup.
Ahmed Mansour – HayGroup professional trainer and consultant – has lead the workshop that took place in Cairo, Egypt on the 24th of September 2017. Ahmed has a very interesting educational background in the field of engineering which somehow empowered his project management skills in his career. He was able to accompany the attendees starting by their knowledge into the direction of a deeper perspective of the professional know-how behind creating the job analysis and the job description.
The trainer designed the course to consist of a series of workshops that first exposes a strategic bird’s view then zooms in into detailed technicality. This gave a chance to the attendees to think strategically first before anything else, and this is actually how management is like; to consider the strategic impact of every action and every word.
But the question remains: What would make a person attend such a training while many of the JA & JD methods already exist online? As Eng. Ahmed Mansour stated that “each organization has its own methodology” and that cleverness is about directing and reshaping your knowledge according to what fits the culture of your organization and its strategy.
Knowing the traditional steps of the job analysis process or the steps to write the job description is not the actual know-how, but it is more about choosing the suitable approach, being aware of the exact way of writing, the usage of key words, and being aware of the impact of each section in the JD.
There was a very interesting diversity of 10 attendees from Emirates NBD, Savola Group, United Sugar Company of Egypt & HR Revolution Middle East.
HayGroup afterwards has been offering professional training programs on Job Evaluation, Reward Management and Talent Q Practitioner in Cairo, Dubai and Saudi Arabia to provide HR professionals in the region with a 360 degree vision.
