Winners in the 2021 Middle East & North Africa Stevie® Awards Announced

Honors Sponsored by the RAK Chamber of Commerce & Industry Recognize Innovation in 17 MENA Nations

Winners in the second Middle East & North Africa Stevie® Awards, the only awards program to recognize innovation in the workplace throughout 17 nations in the Middle East and North Africa, were announced today.  The awards are sponsored by the RAK Chamber of Commerce & Industry.  The list of Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners is available at http://MENA.StevieAwards.com.

The 2021 Middle East & North Africa Stevie Awards recognized organizations in 10 countries including Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates. 

All organizations operating in 17 nations of the MENA region – large and small, public and private, for-profit and non-profit – were eligible to submit nominations to the Middle East & North Africa Stevie Awards in a wide range of categories, honoring innovation in every aspect of work life, from customer service and management to marketing and product development. More than 400 nominations in Arabic and English were reviewed in the judging process this year by 70 professionals worldwide, whose average scores determined the winners.

Winners of multiple Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Awards include Coca-Cola, Istanbul, Turkey; DANONE SPECIALIZED NUTRITION, Istanbul, Turkey; Department of Health, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; DHL Express Saudi Arabia, Al Khobar; ETIHAD Aviation Group, Dubai, United Arab Emirates; General Directorate for Traffic- Ministry of Interior, Kingdom of Bahrain, Ooredoo Oman, Muscat, Oman; Pladis, Istanbul, Turkey; Pronova Consultancy, Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and RAK Transport Authority, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, among others.

All Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners will be celebrated at a virtual awards ceremony on June 2.  Registration for the event is now on sale.

ATD Middle East Conference 8th – 9th June 2021 “Reflecting, Reimagining, and Revitalising Learning and Talent Development”

Informa Connect launched the ATD Middle East Conference and Exhibition on, 8th – 9th June 21, at the Address Dubai Marina, with the theme of “Reflecting, Reimagining, and Revitalizing Learning and Talent Development” welcomed more than 400 L&D, and HR practitioners attending the event.

The ATD Middle East Conference this year had more than 60 Expert Speakers among the most prominent business figures in the Learning and Development industry, in addition to presenting more than 30 interactive learning sessions and 3 ATD Education Programs.

The ATD 2021 Middle East Conference & Exhibition brings the HR, learning, and talent development community together to network and learn in a safe, secure, and socially distanced environment.

This year, the attendees had the added benefit of AI matchmaking through the event platform, which enables meaningful connections and networking opportunities at the event.

HRCI Assumes ISO International Secretariat Role for Technical Committee 260 on Human Resource Management

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 04, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — HRCI®, the premier HR credentialing and learning organization, is honored to announce that the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has appointed HRCI as the International Secretariat for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee (TC) 260 on Human Resource Management. ANSI is the U.S. member body to the ISO.

ISO TC 260, formed in 2011, is responsible for the development of a series of standards for human resource management processes and practices. There are 19 standards and technical specifications published, with 13 more under development. One of the most noteworthy standards from this work is ISO 30414, Human Capital Reporting, which many Chief Financial Officer’s believe is a safe harbor for the recent ruling from the SEC requiring Human Capital Management Disclosures. The forthcoming ISO 301415 standard will also be an important standard for organizations, helping them create a culture of Diversity and Inclusion.
