Talent Acquisition as a function leads the organizations towards fulfilling its Mission Statement by continuously keeping the right talent in the right place, but without considering the “strategic” side of Talent Acquisition the organization will not be able to sustain its Mission Statement and move steps closer towards its Vision Statement.

The Strategic Talent Acquisition (STA) Certification Program – offered by the Human Capital Institute (HCI) – connects the dots between the business strategy, workforce plan, current and future desired competencies, hiring and employer branding.

The program is not a typical lecture-based course, its embedded with strategic case-studies, where instead of “reading about an organization, you’ll actually play a role in one.” The program is designed to “represent the new competencies of the effective talent acquisition professional” which are actually simulated and practiced throughout course duration.

HCI has designed a unique framework for the STA process “HCI Strategic Talent Acquisition Framework” which consists of five pillars: Align, Segment, Brand, Pipeline, Assess & Select. The logical and strategic sequence of this process starts by connecting the corporate strategy to the needed present and future talents, to integrating marketing with human resources in order to create an authentic employer brand and communicate it in different ways, to defining sourcing methods and different assessment tools.

Each phase in this holistic approach has its own performance indicators, yet all complementing one another. A Certified STA knows how to efficiently and effectively make the right choices within the process and is able to synergize the entire strategic talent acquisition operation.
