Brief Biography about the Winner:

Doha Khassawneh; Author, storyteller, and a trainer of ” How to read a story and do it in a fun way”, puppeteer, member of the Jordanian writers’ association – child literature committee, ambassador of the world literacy foundation 2018 ,2019. ambassador – present, & volunteer at King Hussein Cancer Centre from 2009 – Present. Holds Bachelors degree in early childhood care from Hashemite University, and master degree in instructional technology from university of Jordan. 

She worked in several fields, including a teacher for eight years as well as a year as coordinator of activities and a stories’ reader in a children’s library, in addition to that she developed a career to develop the stories for the children. She has the skills to change voice tones and deal with children, during 13 years she has taken many courses related to childhood as well as entrepreneurship looking forward to developing continuously her experiences and knowledge.

Doha Khassawneh, has a YouTube channel called ” qesasjeh “. In 2018 she was delighted to be honored by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in Dubai, because she was one of the most effective volunteers in “Madrasa ” site and application as one who volunteered in the field of voice commentary. In 2019 she was invited by the Sharjah Book Fair to work with children at Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival.

Stevie Award Winning Case Study:

Qesasjeh is a sole proprietorship in Amman, Jordan led by Doha “Mohammed Awni” Khalid Khassawneh, an Author of stories and a storyteller who sells and reads stories in schools, bookshops, exhibitions, organizations and more.

In the inaugural Middle East Stevie Awards, Doha Mohammed Awni Khalid Khassawneh and Qesajeh won the 2020 Gold Stevie Award for Innovation in Living, Learning, and Working Environments for Qesasjeh “let’s fly together”

After reading stories using puppets for less fortunate children and cancer patients, Doha was inspired by their enthusiasm and received positive feedback from children, their parents, and co-workers. With her philosophy :‏ “think like a child and lead like a king”, Doha Khassawneh started a fun learning company, Qesajeh,  in 2017 with the goal to make learning fun and interesting for children and ‏ encourage them to read about anything that they desire and find interest in.

‏The Qesajeh training process is structured in three levels. ‏Level one is for children from ages 4 to 16 on how to hear, think and analyze stories rationally and independently. ‏Level two is for parents or any caregiver on how to read a story that will attract and engage listeners to them in an interactive way. And ‏Level three provides training for children, parents, and caregivers to be a productive member of society by expressing themselves in a way that matches their abilities and learning styles.

‏ A member of the Jordanian Writers Association ‘s Child Literature Committee, Doha Khassawneh is an author, storyteller, puppeteer, voice-over, and a trainer of ” How to read a story and do it in a fun way”.  She was also an ambassador of the World Literacy Foundation in 2018, and a current ambassador and & volunteer at the King Hussein Cancer Center.
