Once Upon a Time there was a very clever writer who had her own blog, her own diary and her own followers on twitter. She wanted to apply for a job as a real WRITER.

She went to an HR office that was responsible for magazine recruitments.

Interviewer: Would you prefer to work in an online or offline magazine?

Writer: I already have my own established blog, and I am experienced in online publishing.

Interviewer: Everyone now has a blog dear. It is because your writing is not worth the print expenses maybe?

Writer: You shall see yourself, please google my name!

Interviewer, after googling her name: Well here you go. Many selfie pictures you got! UMMM oh here is an article!

He reads the article and gives no response.

Writer: I would love to experience something different; to have my own article in a magazine that can be touched.

Interviewer: So you want to publish offline just to be able to touch your own article?

Writer, feels weird: Well that’s not the only reason. Although having my own tangible article means so much to me!

Interviewer: Care to elaborate?

Writer: I was a columnist in the university magazine; I have a copy here with me. She shows him the copy.

Interviewer: Interesting.

He spans through it.

Interviewer: Okay. He hands a piece of paper to the writer and a pen. Here is a little exercise for you. Can you make me a quick comparison between online and offline publishing in 2 minutes.

She starts working fast and hands him the paper.

Hey Mom I published an Online Article! Good luck dear. Hey Mom I published a new article; check it out wow that’s my child!
Immortalize your article, Maybe your grandchildren can read it someday! Of course if the link wasn’t dead by that time! When Copies are limited or out of Print, it’s like you don’t exist at all: D, but when you are granted extra copies, all your friends want to take them, it’s an amazing feeling.
It’s nice when you share your own article and people start liking and sharing it all around, but no matter how many times it is shared, it shall be forgotten soon, because people will always find something to share! I feel better when my friends, and friends of friends take turn to borrow the last remaining issue of my magazine, and it comes back to me carrying all the energy of all those readers!

Interviewer: Thank you. Oh, one Last thing.

Writer: Aha!

Interviewer: Do you prefer your salary cash or electronic?

Writer: Do you prefer dedicating an online donation or handing the person in need the money hand to hand? In a virtual world, and I would love to go against the flow as it is part of my journey into the world of print media. I would try and apply it in my personal life too. Do the right balance, the smart balance!

Interviewer: Thank you for your time.

He stamps ACCEPTED on the recruitment papers.
