There is no doubt that working from home for some people sounds like a dream, they feel free to work from anywhere in the house, wear whatever they want unless they have online video calls or business meetings, also they can take breaks anytime they want.

In fact, working remotely from home has many advantages and reflects great flexibility and adaptability to the current situation.

But this dream can quickly turn into a nightmare when the employees become unproductive, when they are distracted and not able to focus, so they will be struggling doing the tasks they are asked to do and achieving the goals they are supposed to achieve.

Our ability to focus on doing the right things and ignoring the wrong ones is so important yet challenging, it’s the magic key to chase our dreams and achieve our goals, and no doubt that all creative and high productive work only comes from focused people.

Here are nine useful and helpful tips for you to stay focused:

1- Create a positive self-image that motivates you to be productive and stay focused.

2- Watch the way you think; control your negative thoughts and judgments about your ability to stay focused, and always keep a mantra, and say to yourself “I’m focused”.

3- Love what you do; finding something interesting and challenging about the task you do makes you feel excited and surely will help you not only to focus but also to enjoy the work.

4- Plan your day; use time schedule, and focus on allocating enough time for every task.

5- Be organized, prioritize your tasks, focus on accomplishing the task on hand, and don’t jump from one task to another.

6- Don’t get yourself distracted; avoid surfing internet, chatting on social networks and delete any phone applications you don’t really need that might distract you while working.

7- Choose a quiet place at home to work from, choose comfortable chair, and always straighten your back while sitting.

8- Have enough breaks, walk around & stretch your body, and don’t forget to drink enough water.

9- Always inform everyone at home that you will start working and don’t allow interruptions except on emergencies.
