Winners have traits, they live their lives as a wonderful journey that is full of challenges, wins and falls… in all cases they enjoy the journey and keep learning all the time, here are some of the insights:
- Life is not fair: you welcome it when you win AND you have to welcome it when you lose.
- “Luck is the residue of design”: you have to plan for optimum use of your resources AND pay a grand consideration for context circumstances (low physical fitness against supreme physical fitness – a bright goal keeper (Hadary) against a fairly very good one).
- When you are equipped with the stronger Positive spirit, the larger hope, and the sincerer prayers all of them accompanying your maximum efforts you will most probably conquer hard facts and challenging circumstances.
- Risk is a fundamental part of any challenge, if you win it proves that you have exerted the largest or smartest efforts, if you lose remember that you exerted great efforts still…. AND you need to work on improving them so you can win next time.
- When you take a challenge and exert your maximum efforts, yet, you don’t achieve your goal…… never downgrade yourself and never surrender to irony and superficial comments, rather, sharpen your spirit for the next challenge, you still have a long way of success to walk.
- When you win never ever forget that it was a team work battle, having one or two stars through the challenge is appreciated…. still it is a team work victory.
- NEVER let negative commenters affect you whether you win or lose: Within your fans and friends you might hear some frustrating and demeaning comments that usually & oddly arise when you most need support, especially when you are at your low performance state.
- People need your extreme support when they are low-performing NOT ONLY when they are winning, this is what makes you a leader … helping people excel
- Identify your competitive advantages and plan their use on a strict timely manner (Rock defense line – Salah as a remote Striker – Fathy and Kahraba as fast and solid players – Ramadan, Omar and Warda as energetic game controllers – Hadary as known as the High Dam)
- Keep ethical behavior between your eyes, Maintain clean and fair play all the time, you will not be proud if you win by dirty work.
- if you use dirty or unfair work to win, you will never have the spirit to ACHIEVE through your next life challenges.. You will be accustomed to easy filthy gains.
- You will NOT achieve if you consider the ALREADY EXISTING giving-up justifications.
- When you are responsible for a team behind or in other words people wellbeing (Egyptians pride of national soccer team) that means you don’t have the luxury of giving up on winning, even if you have the justification and understandable causes (3 rounds absence of the African Cup).
- People will most of the time encourage you to FAIL when they see your weakness, it is your primary challenge to cross your peoples limitation (most of us expected quick empty return for the team after a long time of absence of the African Cup)
- Your competitors will always try to beat you hard as long as you are superior, it is up to you to stand tall for the challenge (by performing remarkably not by getting distracted in side fights).
- Your competitors will always try to beat you hard and if you let your hands down they will beat you even harder. (don’t let yourself be down-spirited and keep up the good performance under all pressures)
- If you want to achieve something, there is always a way.
- When you have the competitive edge that you don’t use you will definitely loose. (Burkina team was better in many areas BUT they were dragged to slow lame performance until we could snap the win).
- If you have skills use them through your challenges, talking about them is useless.
- We have a lot of great success stories and consistent hardworking people who are silent role models that we have to learn from, we might not notice them through their long long way of high performance, they also might not be of the usual star image we have…. Hadary is a remarkable living example.
- You might be tired of ongoing battles and endless challenges, always remember that your happiness as a leader is in the challenge journey itself, you will overcome a challenge to meet the next with high spirit and victorious soul.
