Ressources Humaines: Un brin d’histoire…

L’histoire de l’homme est une quête sempiternelle de prééminence et d’asservissement.

Depuis son avènement sur terre, la fascinante créature n’a cessé de combiner dur labeur et intriguantes magouilles pour assujetir tous les élèments de son environnement.

Défini par moult philosophes comme être social évoluant en communauté, l’homme se retrouve souvent en confrontation avec ses congénères dans un jeu de pouvoir à la fois enjôleur et désanchanteur.

La gestion des ressources “Homo sapiennes”:

Il y a 160.000 ans, Homo sapiens fait son apparition sur terre et change le cours de l’histoire en partant à la conquête du monde. Il forme ainsi la première espèce de la planète bleue apte à parler, à créer et à aspirer maîtriser son environnement.

Homo sapiens s’est mis à réfléchir à haute voix, à échanger, à s’organiser et à anticiper son avenir. Il vit désormais dans une communauté élaborée.

Chasse, protection du clan, confection de l’habit, édification de l’abrit, fabrication de l’outil, procréation, spiritualité, la panoplie des tâches se diversifie et les rôles deviennent de plus en plus définis.

La fourberie de l’emprise et la cupidité de productivité infestent l’esprit de la jeune société.

Bientôt, chaque clan aura son propre chef, ses chamans, ses artistes et son prolétariat constitué principalement des chasseurs -cueilleurs.

Sapiens découvre l’agriculture et peut désormais abandonner le mode de vie nomade et organiser sa vie sédentaire au sein du village.

Les communautés deviennent de plus en plus vastes et la hiérarchisation des charges, mandats et statuts s’incruste de plus en plus profondément.

Abondance de biens ne nuit pas! Des villages vont bientôt se distinguer par la qualité de leurs réalisations économiques, artisitiques et militaires. C’est l’ébauche de la civilisation.

ةbauche dûe principalement à des communautés qui ont su fructifier les ressources matérielles et humaines dont elles disposaient.

Un travail de Titan:

Les villages grandissent et se transforment en métropole. Dorénavant, ces nouvelles fourmilières dénombrent des citoyens capables de produire des biens et des services, mais et surtout une nouvelle catégorie d’individus; ceux capables de produire des pensées!

C’est l’émergence de la civilisation humaine.

Orateurs, penseurs, philosophes, poêtes, conseillers politiques et militaires, les formes de pensée se multiplient et ce n’est qu’enrichissement de l’histoire des hommes.

Des pyramides de Gizeh à la Grande Muraille de Chine en passant par les jardins suspendus de Babylone, les intellectuels des civilisations antiques façonnent leurs mondes et poussent leurs populations de l’avant jusqu’aux confins de la sphère civilisée.

La Grèce antique se distingue spécialement à ce niveau et la mythologie épique qu’elle nous a légué nous confesse une histoire envoûtante des mystères de la société humaine.

Une analyse même sommaire de cet héritage nous révèle que cette mythologie fascinante n’est qu’une simplte extrapolation de l’environnement de ses auteurs.

Les forces de la nature y sont représentées par des divinités, les obstacles par des monstres, les tâches par des travaux ou missions et les humains y sont catalogués selon leurs fonctions ou degré d’héroïsme.

La guerre de Troie, les douze travaux d’Heraclès, le déluge de Deucalion ou le mythe de Pandore sont tout autant d’histoires fabuleuses qui véhiculent une idéologie d’éloge de l’abnégation au travail et de l’investissement inconditionnel pour atteindre l’aspiration ultime.

Les critères qui y sont décrits établissent la première source de concordance connue entre le profil et la fonction.

La mythologie grecque équivaut à une réelle mine d’or en matière de ressources humaines. C’est un recueil raffiné et métaphorique pour motiver les troupes et améliorer la productivité.

Titan a accompli son travail avec virtuosité!

Et Dieu créa l’Homme:

L’apothéose de la pensée humaine se concrétise avec la révélation du Dieu suprême. Sapiens porte désormais un nouveau nom : Adam!

Le monothéïsme permet à Adam de franchir une nouvelle phase dans sa quête immuable à dominer son monde.

Certes, les commandements divins régulent dorénavant les relations humaines et établissent les règles à respecter pour tous les aspects de la vie en société, mais la vraie révolution du monothéisme réside ailleurs!

En effet, le Dieu créateur lève le voile sur une vérité qui a longtemps échappé à l’esprit simple d’Adam : la domination du monde passe d’abord et avant tout par le contrôle de soi-même!

Adam, désormais capables de maîtriser ses pulsions et ses désirs réalise des prouesses miraculeuses et se découvre des talents cachés et des ressources internes infinies.

La civilisation humaine atteint son apogée et Adam entame une étape où il n’a plus besoin d’être récompensé, puni, motivé, sanctionné, félicité ou réprimandé pour achever ses missions.

Sa force, il la tire d’ailleurs, de sa foi!

Sa récompense, il la cherche ailleurs, dans l’au-delà!

Qu’on pense l’oncle Sam?:

Adam travaille plus, produit plus, récolte plus, est tenté plus. Il peut résister à tout, sauf à la tentation!

Peu à peu, il renonce à l’au-delà pour succomber aux plaisirs charnels de la vie d’ici bas.

Et rebelote, Adam a oublié le nom que Dieu lui choisit comme prénom, mais n’a pas oublié que son frère Adam est la clé de voute de sa richesse.

Il doit élaborer maintenant de nouveaux outils pour mieux cerner la nature de cette créature et atteindre ainsi son but de luxuruance et d’opulence. C’est la naissance des sciences humaines.

Chaque jour, de nouvelles disciplines y sont introduites, des théories formulées, des postulats présentés sans pour autant parvenir à atteindre l’objectif ultime.

La question se pose alors : Cet objectif existe-t-il réellement ou bien s’agit-il d’une loufoque illusion?

Quelque soit la réponse à cette question, l’oncle Sam n’est pas prêt à abandonner cette mission, comme l’ont fait auparavant, ses aïeux Sapiens, Titan et Adam!

Le voyage continue dans le temps, passé; futur ou présent, la quête fabuleuse de notre espèce promet de durer encore longtemps!

Which Certification is right for me PHRi™ or SPHRi™?

When deciding to take a step forward for their international certification, many HR professionals hesitate between choosing the right credential that suits their professional experience and practice; whether the PHRi™ or the SPHRi™?

In this article, we will provide a comprehensive comparison between the two credentials, to help you decide which certification is right for you.

First, we will highlight the eligibility requirements for both:

Let’s elaborate more about what is meant exactly by a “professional-level experience in an HR position”?

HRCI defines a “professional-level” HR position as one that includes:

  • The ability to use independent judgment and discretion in performing work duties.
  • A level of specialized knowledge in the HR field with some authority for decision-making.
  • In-depth work requirements, such as data gathering, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Interaction with a broad range of individuals, including key personnel.
  • Individual accountability for results.

While the PHRi builds a professional mindset for the HR professionals on how to manage soundly the different HR functions, standardizing the steps they need to follow for the successful implementation of various HR processes; the SPHRi enhances the strategic aspect of HR Management Practices.

The Certification Renewal:

  • You must earn 1 ethics credit during your three-year certification cycle.
  • This is a part, not in addition to your 60 required recertification credits.

Emotional Intelligence and Business Excellence

Many of us as soon as they hear about ” Emotional Intelligence” think that it’s only related to love and relations with your partner, but have you ever related it to your business? How would it help you achieve your goals? Increase your income? Enrich your resources?

In business world, we usually care for IQ of candidates and consider it one of the main aspects to use for the performance evaluation of employees, ignoring their EQ which is proved to be the strongest predictor of positive performance and long-term success according to recent studies.

Let us first identify what is meant by EQ to be able to discover how foundational it is for a thriving workplace.

EQ or Emotional Intelligence is the ability to be aware of your emotions, moods & motives and to redirect them and manage your behaviors.

In other words, emotions are energy, and “Emotional Intelligence” is the ability to use or direct this energy to push you towards achieving your goals, which means you need first to identify your emotions then deal with them wisely.  

If you aim to be a unique leader you must know that rising your EQ enables you to influence other’s emotions and interact with them successfully and even direct their reactions!

This is not a bare claim, but a scientific truth that I am going to explain now.

Scientifically, EQ is the ability of your brain to build strong neural connections between: “the limbic system” (center for emotions in your brain) and “the prefrontal cortex ” (the rationale thinking center), the more neural connections your brain build, the more emotionally intelligent you become.  The good news is that you can train your brain to build these neural connections through emotional intelligence coaching techniques.

Emotional Intelligence, as I mentioned before, is mainly about emotional awareness, which is the ability to recognize your feeling, understand your habitual responses to events and realize how your emotions affect your behaviors and performance which is critical to your business.

Emotional Intelligence also enables you to acquire the ability to manage your emotions, stay focused and think clearly even when experiencing powerful emotions, which is crucial for your productivity, and would be reflected on your decisions, motivation, and relationships with others.

Emotional Intelligence coaching techniques will help you discover your limiting thoughts and beliefs and reframe them to unleash your potential and achieve the goals you though before to be unachievable, simply you would be able to choose how to react and whom to be.

One of the most important skills you acquire through emotional intelligence is the ability to master your personal power, the secret to become limitless through realizing your real capabilities and use them to put yourself where you deserve to be.

In these quick changes and surprising events, we face every day, emotional intelligence allows you to cope with stresses in a healthy way and minimize your negative thinking, this will protect both your physical and mental health and would reflect on your business.

Enhancing your EQ promotes you to build better relationships which reflects directly and indirectly on your business whether you are in a managerial position or an employee.
